In 2006, Pál Rózsa celebrated his 60th birthday at Óbudai Társaskör so 10 years later we decided to have another fine concert for his turning 70.

The composer was born on March 14, 1946 in Szombathely. After studying as a private student of Sándor Szokolay and Zsolt Durkó, from 1986 he has been a freelance composer. He achieved his first success in 1982 by winning a Danish and a Venezuelan competitions and then winning first, second and third place 11 times. His works cover several genres: 5 operas, several orchestral pieces, chamber music, solo pieces, songs, choral works, sacral music and brass pieces.
