Summer Programs
Summer and Óbuda have become synonymous with delightful, entertaining and meaty evening programs, and what better place to hold these concerts than in the beautiful garden of the Társaskör where two giant chestnut trees and a backdrop of starry sky create a unique atmosphere.
Music in the Garden is a concert series with a wide selection of musical delicacies: Ági Szalóki and two guitarists Gábor Juhász and Dávid Lamm, Budapest Ragtime Band and Chameleon Big Band, classical and contemporary music, evergreen chansons as well as an opera: Rossini's The Barber of Seville.
The summer program series would not be complete without other venues. The courtyard of Kiscell Museum will host a concert series by Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra who introduce young talents as their featured guests. The Óbuda Saint Peter and Paul Parish Church with its fabulous acoustics will be a home to a concert by soprano Ingrid Kertesi and organist András Virágh and Albert Schweitzer Choir and Chamber Orchestra, while the Óbuda Reformed Church presents an unparalleled selection of the works of Tamás Kobzos Kiss and a special concert celebrating 20 years of Magnificat Children's Choir.
