This season, the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra launched a new concert series called Baroque Plus. The concerts feature pieces by the greatest Baroque masters such as Bach, Vivaldi and Corelli and a contemporary Hungarian piece.

As one critic writes about László Dubrovay's Trumpet Concert: "(...) the piece was probably composed in a very lighthearted mood. Brought forth not by sweat and tears but elegantly, the way the classical masters wrote divertimentos, dances, occasional concerts (...) ". The work - in the author's own words - "put the virtuoso soloist to the test." Such test for example is the episode in the third movement that reminds us of the buzzing of flies.
