Barnabás Kérges was born in Kiskunhalas in 1993, currently he is a master's student at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. He began his music studies learning from his music teacher father, then studied at the High School of Arts in Szombathely. In 2011 he studied in Sári Faddi class at the Béla Bartók Secondary School in Budapest. In 2012 he continued his studies at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. He is the winner of several competitions.
Éva Osztrosits began playing the violin at age 7, she continued her studies under Zsolt Kalló at the High School of Arts in Szombathely. Currently, she is a Master II student of Katalin Kokas at the Budapest Franz Liszt Academy of Music. Successful at a number of competitions, in 2016 she won the scholarship of the Hungarian Republic and was the only Hungarian to win a Yamaha scholarship. She has been a soloist of the Austro-Hungarian Haydn Orchestra, the Concerto Budapest and the Savaria Symphony Orchestra and Camerata Pro Musica.
Éva Osztrosits and Barnabas Kérges were classmates in Szombathely, but have started playing together only recently. They share the same ideas about a piece, which is certainly important for playing music together. Their excellent performances were rewarded by the jury at the 2016 National Weiner Competition where they won the violin-piano category. This concert is a prize offered by Óbudai Társaskör.
