Almost everyone is familiar with the name of Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741), thanks to the popularity of four violin concertos The Four Seasons. However, there are countless other compositions by the "red priest" worth exploring. We only have to browse through concertos with titles similar to those above in which the Venetian master portrays various natural and social phenomena in a way that is easy to understand even to 21st century people. The Simplicissimus Chamber Ensemble concert lines up four-block selection of such works - two of each in either of the two parts. In each block the concertos frame lesser known soprano cantatas sung by Eszter Zemlényi.
