The program features works by the great masters of the 20th century now considered classics. The concert consists of two blocks of choral works. In the first, French chansons and choral songs recalling centuries-old traditions will be sung. The three great French composers based their pieces on poems by Charles d'Orléans, Guillaume Apollinaire and Paul Eluard. The final block a few of Stravinsky's church choral works. The pieces originate from the last period of the composer's life spent in America. In the middle third of the concert soloists of the evening play piano pieces and songs by Debussy, Ravel, and Stravinsky. Berg's early, romantic songs further enrich the program.
