Despite his age Gábor Gera has an unusually wide repertiore. He met the accordion at a young age, then graduated choir master at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. He wrote the film score, for which he was awarded at the Filma Madrid festival, to Robert Koltai's movie Megy a gőzös during his studies. He has been a member or guest of several folk music, jazz and world music bands that toured the world: Pravo, TBC, Nikola Parov Quartet, Kowalszky meg a Vega, Cimbaliband, Eszter Bíró and Mariann Falusi Band. From 2013 until recently he lived in Japan, playing at acclaimed tango concerts. Coming home, he has brought with him the tunes and atmosphere of numerous places of the world. If you come to his concert you will hear hot tango, sultry bossa nova, pleasant chansons, sorrowful Russian music, energizing Balkan tunes. You can see and hear the faces of the world!
