Ragtime is often called "white music played in black" since this genre owes as much to white musical forms like the polka and the march as to black banjo music and work songs. Joplin created a miracle out of this "ragged time" rhythm. Tonight Budapest Ragtime Band will play the greats of the genre and prove that numerous musical styles use ragtime so it satisfies a wide variety of tastes.
